Almost 20 Years
Next week I will be turning a whopping 20 years old! I still can’t believe that I won’t be able to call myself a teenager any more. Life has definitely flown by very quickly but, like so many others I’m sure, I always wish that I could go back and do some things a little differently. I’m not going to list anything here but sometimes one might think that life could be a little bit better if they’d just made better choices in the past.
So, I really want a new laptop for my birthday, as my current one is very close to crashing for good. I’ve been trying to convince my dad and I’ve even offered to pay for half of it but, until a couple of days ago, it didn’t look like he was going to budge. He actually sat down with me and asked me why I needed a new laptop and with the little list of problems that I told him I think I may just be getting what I’ve been asking for for weeks.
Besides a laptop I would love to get heaps of money off the relatives, and maybe someone to do all of my school work… well, a girl can dream.
English Language is ♥
Doing two English subjects for school this year was always going to be painful at some point, as I said here. English is being a real pain but I am definitely starting to enjoy English Language.
Learning how the English language is built and how we write things as small as phrases and how every single word belongs to a group of words; not only nouns, verbs and groups like that but prepositions, determiners and auxiliaries just to name a few - I never realised how complex our language really is. Now I feel extremely sorry for anyone trying to learn English as a second language and now I truly understand why it is one of the hardest - if not the hardest - languages to learn in the world.
